Register for G Money
To set up your G Money account, you need to visit any GCB branch or any agent point to register. You will need to provide the following details;
Date of Birth
Residential Address/Digital Address
Valid photo ID (Voter ID, Passport, Driver’s License, National ID)
Registered phone number
Email address (if available)
G-Money is the first of its kind to be operated by any bank in Ghana; it allows individuals and businesses to use their mobile phones or Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) to store money in the form of electronic money or value for transactions.
According to a report from BoG, the mobile money wallet is mainly used to transfer value from one person to another person (P2P), for payment of goods and services such as buying airtime, paying for utility bills, Gold and DSTV bills, salaries of some workers, taxi fares, micro-credit, savings and micro-insurance.
